What is the purpose of life?

Can anyone give me the exact purpose of life? Everyone will have their own versions of

answers. Nobody in the material world knows the exact purpose of life. Ask anyone what is

spirituality and you will get the answer “Oh.. I am not interested in spirituality. I just don't have

time for that.”

No time for The One who gives you bliss. Work, work and work. If you get some time off,

spend it with friends and family. If at all you want to take a break from all this, go away to

some exotic place, party and sleep off. Finally one day, death is right in front of you. What

have you experienced in your lifetime? It's only “rat race”.

Sometimes when you are really sad, nothing is happening as you want, you will say “I am

fed up”. It is at this time some people will start thinking “Why I am I living?”. How do you find

out the answer? You won't get it in Google search. None of the reputed International schools

will teach this to kids. It's only when you are really hell-bent on finding out the answer for

yourself, you will end up in spirituality. Spirituality is the only key to the real treasure store.

Once you get involved, if you find it interesting to explore the unexplored, you will have

 The Ultimate Truth.

Purity

What is purity? The quality of thoughts, words and deeds determines the level of purity of a soul/person.

Pure thoughts - only good wishes to any and all living beings at any and all times. No matter what the other individual thinks, speaks or performs, you will have mercy for that soul and only good wishes for him/her.

Pure words - only words of wisdom will come out. In any situation, you will be perfectly under control, all sensory organs will obey the intellectual order, only required words, harmless words that will have only good or neutral impact will come out from the mouth.

Pure deeds - only good/neutral deeds will be performed. The thoughts and intention of a deed determine the quality of the task. Performing the tasks with neutral or good intention is desirable. The acts reveal the personality.

Beauty lies in mind and not body. This beauty comes from purity.

Virtuous Versus Vicious

Constant spring, pleasant breeze filled with the aroma from the beautiful garden, fountains and streams, lush green meadows everywhere, kids playing with birds and animals, trees bent with the weight of fresh fruits, musicians enjoying their instruments, single-story gold palaces, solar power for cooking and lightings, atomic energy operated helicopters, happiness oozing out from everything on The Earth. Sounds like heaven? Well, the establishment has already begun. It happens when people become virtuous :)

Poverty, natural calamities, population explosion, corruption, terrorists, rapists, starvation, anger, greed, lust, alcohol, drugs, diseases, meat, cannibals, scarcity of resources,  cheating, traffic-jams, hazardous waste, barren land, global warming, ozone depletion, multi-story buildings, stressed out people, never ending search for Peace. Sounds familiar? Well, the destruction is happening :0

Now, how does one become virtuous from being vicious? The transformation happens from within, resulting in deities from human-beings.

How to make the most of life?

You have a “moment” now. You do not have any control on the future. You cannot change the past, but you can decide what you want to do with the present. The “moment” does not depend on any person or any material, it just passes.

Life has different things to offer to different people. One may have health and wealth, another one may not. One may have all the material comforts, another one may be a begger. How to make the most of your life depends on you and nobody else.

A person can be at peace with himself in any kind of situation only if he decides so. You have to make your mind function according to your wish. This is not easy. It needs practise. If you say to your mind stop wandering and concentrate, mind has to do exactly that. It happens automatically when you are doing some work, but when you are sitting idle or when you are down with illness – you have to have something to think about. Now, you are the person who has to decide what you have to think, when you have nothing to think. If you are spiritual, your choice is to meditate. Well, if you are a materialist, what do you think when you are idle? Do these thoughts bring a momentary happiness or make you feel at peace? You can imagine so many things and get lost in a dream world. But, is that called making the most of your life? Again, it depends on oneself what he wants to do with himself.

The awareness of making the most of a moment itself can make us realise and realign our thoughts and nature. You are alive this moment, who knows, a bomb may blast nearby and you will be dead the next moment. So, make the most of this very moment.

What makes you happy?

Is it the multi-million figure in the bank account? Is it the property you own and the comforts you enjoy? Poor people may feel if they get money and property they will be happy. Sick people will feel if they had good health they would have been happy. But are the wealthy and healthy people really happy from within? I don’t think so. Every now and then they make headlines in the news for all other reasons.
The happiness I am referring is not the feeling that goes away. Real happiness is not achieved with materials or name and fame. A child may feel happy when it gets a chocolate or ice-cream and it goes away when the chocolate gets over. Same thing happens with any happiness that is attached with the matter. The moment one realizes this truth and starts searching for real happiness, he has taken a good step. But, the journey is not easy and everyone doesn’t recognize the actual route to happiness.
The path to the happiness lies in spirituality and not in materialism. People don’t consider spirituality now-a-days as they are fully immersed in their bodily relations and attachments. They simply don’t have “time” for spirituality. It’s true that only the fortunate ones recognize this path. Even while performing the daily tasks and living in a family and earning their livelihood, these people have the eternal bliss and that is the happiness I mean.
